ISY99 Port number

Featured Replies

Is there any quick way to discover the port number of a ISY99?

I just received my first ISY99 today and am having good look with it locally but need to have the remote access set up before I can leave it at a clients house.

Reading the sparse documentation, it seems that each ISY99 comes with a unique port number. I can not seem to find a way to discover this number.

I was hopeful that I could find it (or set it) with the CWP command over Telnet.

Reading the advanced configuration guide, it seems that Telnet is disabled by default for security reasons. I seem to be thwarted at every turn. If security were a concern then surely uPNP would be disabled by default? Telnet is protected by a username and password after all.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Hello Philip,

Apologies for lack of documentation and inaccuracies:

1. Telnet is enabled by default (not disabled)

2. Default ISY port numbers (from factory) are 80 (for HTTP) and 443 (for HTTPS)

What you would want to do is to forward to port 443 unless you have another device which uses the same port. If so, use CWP (through telnet) to change your HTTPS port to something other than 443.

With kind regards,

Michel
