Can't remove failed node while Vera Edge is secondary controller.

I have a failed device (well not really failed, just not coming back any time soon and likely to get included/exclude where it is going).

I tried to remove the node in the ISY and got two error messages.

'Ignore unsupported unsolicited Z-Wave message [RX-U 01040160019B]' and 'Z-Wave Command Failed [ZWave 3 Remove Failed Node ZW019_1]'

I have a Vera Edge as a secondary controller, I suspect it is related.  Can one remove zwave devices when a secondary controller is present?

Yes the Vera is a secondary controller on my z-wave network (appears as ZW 28 PC Controller)  I noticed when I added it that the vera did some key exchanges with the device during the ISY inclusion of the vera).

Also Q:what happens if I shift control to the Vera as primary and the ISY as secondary?  Any pro/con implications?

Hi Scyto,

Is it possible to remove Vera as secondary and then see if that works. Please note that if you have a secondary controller, then node has to be removed from both. So, the question is whether or not Vera is allowing it.

With kind regards,

Michel

Well somewhere along the road the vera made itself primary!  (possibly the vera support folks did this - or I made a mistake, but not knowingly).

The problem device has been marked as disabled since ~23 I deleted it just fine.

No wonder I was impressed the vera could set the pins on the locks.  Now it is secondary I will do the include / exclude test from the other issue thread.
