bipto Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 It seems to me that this forum could benefit from some sort of a "marketplace" section no..? A place reserved to post "Looking to buy...", "Looking to sell..." threads..? We're a pretty tight-knit community, and a lot of us buying upgrades leave perfectly good equipment in our wake... equipment that other members might be able to buy at a discount to test the waters in to new technologies, etc... Just a thought...

Just a thought... A few people have used the Coffee Shop for a quick sale. I gather this is sort of like the SH forum they don't want to see bad transactions go down between members etc. I would think people would be mature and professional enough to know the risk vs rewards of making on line purchases and balancing the over all benefits. I've made a few off line purchases along with some great cross sales from members who have help me get items I normally could not purchase directly from the USA to Canada. And I thank you all for doing so you rock!
paulbates Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Its a good idea. Keeping the sales in one spot lets you peruse everything that is for sale from time to time. The Homeseer forum has had one for as long as I can remember, with a 30 day rule. If it doesn't sell in 30 days, delete your own post, and delete the post when it sells. I sold most of my leftover X10 equipment last fall there, it worked really well. I don't recall any problems with sales.

I swear it was one of the best portrayed sales Ad I have seen in quite awhile. I don't for see that item being around too long!
