Android App

I would like to request an Android app (phone and tablet) to interface with the ISY. I've been using Mobilinc and it gets the job done but it has an ugly outdated interface. Certainly nothing I'd expect a non-techi wife to use. I want something with a more modern easy to use Lollipop interface. Mobilinc seem to be more iOS centeric and the iOS app is updated and current but haven't seen much change or advancement in the Android app. I think some of the desire to add an Insteon Hub to a system that already has an ISY is to gain remote mobile app support with a modern interface. All these connected product, Nest, Rachio, Harmony Hub, Insteon Hub are all being driven by their mobile app support.

Thanks so very much for the feedback. Not being a UI company has been quite a challenge coming up with our own app. This said, we are looking for alternatives. Please stay tuned.

@dss Do have ideas on what you want to see for the user interface? The backend programming is super simple but coming up with the correct UI is darn near hard. If you ask 100 people what the UI should look like, you will get 51 different answers.

 

If any members here have ideas, please put forth your ideas.

I just install Agave and played with it for 3 minutes so far so good much more prettier then Mobilinc.  I will continue and see how I really feel and how stable the app is.
