nokin Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 FYI - just wanted to pass along that the external antenna really did make a difference for me. Using the internal antenna I was unable to add a GE Smart Switch. The GE directions state that the controller may need to be as close as 10 feet. My ISY is about 30 feet and one floor down from the switch. After installing the antenna and switching to it I was able to add the GE switch first time without any issues.

So, you might have problems with devices that are not in the same plane as the one for the antenna. With kind regards, Michel
