pgnehm Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I have a very small ZWave network. I have 2 door locks (kwikset and schlage) and 3 Aeotec z-wave range extenders. I need to add another range extender to reach a 3rd door lock. However, when I try to add it I get the following error: Wed 07/15/2015 09:30:21 AM : Listening for Z-Wave devices to add to the network Wed 07/15/2015 09:30:24 AM : CLI-HAMW: Error Parsing Response Wed 07/15/2015 09:31:40 AM : Adding Z-Wave devices stopped It's not the range extender as I have tried this with two different ones. It's close enough to the ISY as it's the same location I used to add the other ones. Any suggestions? Firmware: 4.2.30 Zwave version 4.55 Bootloader: 1.03
Michel Kohanim Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hi pgnehm, Please checkout this article: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Z-Wave:_Configuring_Range_Extenders_and_Door_Locks With kind regards, Michel
pgnehm Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 Thank you for getting back to me. However maybe I was not clear. I am not able to add my new, additional range extender. I was able to add my previous 3 range extenders.
stusviews Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Does the range extender still blink red when you plug it in or is the red LED always lit?
pgnehm Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 Here's what I have been doing: So I select 'Add/Include a Z-wave device' and it says "Listening for z-wave devices to add to the network". I then press the button on the range extender (blinking slowly) and keep it pressed. At some point the range extender blinks rapidly and the ISY records "CLI-HAMW: Error Parsing Response" At this point I usually stop and the range extender goes back to blinking slowly.
pgnehm Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 OMG feeling like such an idiot right now. Thank you all!
stusviews Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 "It's not you, it's them." The included instructions for the repeater are incorrect.
