Device properties / capabilities displayed in the firmware HAD

Hi Benoit,

In looking at the device properties I see in the HAD that is included in the firmware, I am seeing some

device displays that are incompatible with the device type.

Please see this link: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/16665-webudajax-and-webhad-differences-in-device-properties-release-4310-rc5/

Your display for the IOLinc is perfect but all of the other Insteon sensors show ON - OFF buttons which are incompatible with sensor devices. I have tested motion sensors, leaks sensors, and the smoke bridge, all of which show  on/off buttons and I suspect that all other Insteon sensor units will do the same, for example, the hidden door sensor.

Thanks for checking this out.

Hi,

Sorry for getting so long to get back to you. I'm tied up with other developement.

I just prepared a fix for the next firmware release and sent it to Michel. I could not thoroughly test it as I do not own any of these sensors, but by looking up in an insteon device database, I can see that they fall in category 16, which are all sensors. So all those sensors will now have buttons hidden.

Thanks,

Benoit.

I can confirm that the Remote HAD interface regarding ON/OFF buttons for sensors has been fixed. (The ON/OFF buttons are no longer displayed for sensors). (I don't have every sensor device but I am guessing they are OK. I have leak detectors, motion sensors, and an IOLinc sensor.)
