Bill Milford Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 This is a simple question. I have several z-wave GE ZWave Toggle LED/CFL Dimmers (12729/ZW3004/45742). I also have a Aeon Labs DSC06106-ZWUS - Z-Wave Smart Energy Switch. I was able to add the Aeon Labs device easily. The Dimmers are further from the ISY. I have never been able to get the dimmers to be recognized when attempting to add them to the ISY. When I try to add the dimmers, will it use the Aeon Labs as a repeater back to the ISY or do I have to actually move the ISY closer to the dimmers to get it to link?
Michel Kohanim Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Hi Bill, You don't have to move the dimmers as long as they can see the repeaters. Please do make sure you do Z-Wave | Exclude before doing Z-Wave | Include. With kind regards, Michel
Bill Milford Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 The ISY doesn't see anything when I exclude or include. It is like these modules are not compatible for some reason. I'll check with the vendor.
Michel Kohanim Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Hi Bill Milford, Can you please let me know what devices you are trying to include/exclude? Also, please do not hesitate to submit a ticket (links below) and we would be delighted to help you figure it out. With kind regards, Michel
ryanmead83 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 When I moved my devices from Wink to the ISY, most I could just do an Exclude on the ISY and add them no problem, but for a lot of my switches I just full on could never get them to work. I had to go to the Wink and run Exclude on IT and then it excluded them, then I was immediately able to add them to the ISY.
