ThisIsTheWay
So I've had issues with my remotelinc2s for a long time. Then my morningstar lock controller stopped working (controlling via my phone and MobiLinc Pro). Then my PLM died. I've replaced my PLM (not sure if i followed the proper procedure but I tried) and the morningstar door lock did not magically start working (via my phone and MobiLinc Pro) as I had hoped. All the other devieces work from MobiLinc Pro. There is a scene that is supposed to turn of all lights and lock the mornignstar lock....when I run that, it does not turn of any lights or lock the door (not sure if this helps). I am at the point that I just want to wipe everything and start over. Ive got 20 or so devices. Am I crazy? Can I try something else? How do I test to see if the communication with morningstar controller is active??? Link to comment
paulbates
Don't start over. 1- Control the morning linc without the scene? Does that work? If no, you will probably have to remove it and re-add it 2- Rebuild the scene. Pull things out and add them back. Its a minor, vs major pain. Link to comment
ThisIsTheWay
Paulbates thank you for the quick response. Update: the scene now works but does not open the door. 1. The morninglinc does not work outside of the scene either. It does however work if you push the button on the side of the phyical box 2. understood will try (1) first remove then re-add Link to comment
ThisIsTheWay
So the remove and re-add worked.... Any tips on how to get the remotelinc2s a kick in the pants so they actually work again? Once I get that I'm set (and you have saved me sooooo much time) Link to comment
Brian H
The latest PLMs. Seem to have an RF issue with the RemoteLinc and RemoteLinc2. Try and get as far away from the PLM as possible. So another Dual Band module processes it when trying to add it back. My Remotelinc would not add back when it was close to the PLM but was added with no issues. When it was at the other end of the house near a Access Point. Edited October 18, 2015 by Brian H Link to comment
smokegrub
Have you updated the MobiLinc via download from your ISY? Link to comment
ThisIsTheWay
Ugh, It seems like a bunch of the lights are now not linked correctly. I wish there were some easy way to remove everything and have the ISY write back all of the data to the devices. Link to comment
stusviews
Restore the modem again. Follow the procedure to the letter http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:File_Menu Link to comment
ThisIsTheWay
I upgraded my ISY to version firmware v.4.3.26 and moved the ISY/PLM to a different wall socket. Deleted the RemoveLinc2's. Factory reset the RemoteLinc2's. Added them to ISY. Rebuilt the actions......ALL IS GOOD NOW! I took a break from this issue a long time ago but had the motivation to fix it all this weekend. Thought I would report back Link to comment
