Program Summary Report

I'm not sure if this aleady possible, I may have just missed where to find it.

It would be nice to have a "generate program summary" report, similar to the topology report that is availalbe.

This could be useful to doulbe check code on paper and make revisions.

Also it could be a real time saver if one wanted to make a manual or have documentation for thier system. It would be easy to just cut and paste sections of a complete document rather than going to the console, and copying individual programs to the clipboard.

Additionally If you are kie me you may have a few X10 parts in use without RF control. I use these with programs and as such they do not show up in the My Lighting tree.

Hello Mr. Sullivan,

Excellent idea. This has been added to our requirements list. Priority low.

With kind regards,

Michel

No I don't know anyone personally. I'm wondering how some of these companies are that get returned with a google search.

For example.

http://www.artlogic.com/index.php

http://surgeworks.com/iphone-applicatio ... agod41C1jQ

Hello Mr. Sullivan,

No, unfortunately not. Do you know anyone?

With kind regards,

Michel

This obviously isn't a big priority.

Any luck withfinding a developer for an iPhone app?

Hello Mr. Sullivan,

Thanks so very much! We just started discussing this feature with interfaceGo and it seems promising. I shall keep you posted.

Thanks again so very much for your offer to help,

With kind regards,

Michel

I'd be happy to do a little legwork on this to get the ball rolling. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Michel,

I was just thinking of another reason to add the program summary report I brought up here.

Still low priority...but a nice to have not a need to have. I understand you guys have you hands full at the moment, well it seems you always do, you should give sleep a chance ('')

This could be really helpful for new users to get more familiar with the ISY, it's capabilities, and how others are using the device. Even expand on the "How to..." topic in the forum.

I think it could really help to shorten the learning curve and make prospective buyers more at ease.

I think the forums and Wiki are great (they solidified my purchase) but can be a bit intimidating to a new user.

Come to think of it, wouldn't it also be nice to have a "how are you using you ISY" topic in the forum? Being able to cut and paste all or just some of a user's programs would make it a lot easier for us to share, at least for the lazy ones, like me.

Although a bit ashamed I like stealing others code and I know for sure I'd be willing to share more of mine for someone elses benefit, especially if I didn't have to type the majority of it out. :):)

I suck at typing.

Best,

Steve

Hello Steve,

Before taking a nap, I wanted to say that I loved your idea of "How are you using ISY" and here it is:

http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=48

Now, if we could only find time to sift through the forum and move all the code snippets to this forum!

Thanks again so very much,

With kind regards,

Thanks for creating this. I figured I'd be the first to post. All 19 of them:) Hopefully someone can make use of my programs/ideas. I'm sure the programs aren't as clean as they could be but they seem to work well.
