Schlage Z-Wave lock beeps 5 times before locking/unlocking

Any idea what might cause this out of the blue?  We are rarely at our summer place so no one has changed anything.  Whenever I lock or unlock the door from the keypad outside, it beeps flashing orange for 5 seconds and then unlocks/locks.  So if I type in my code, it flashes the green check mark with an orange light 5 times, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP then the door unlocks.  Press the Schlage logo to lock it and same thing, orange flashes 5 times, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, then the door locks.  Any idea what that setting it?

Edit, found this video

(not the same lock and isn't doing the same as in the video but might be battery).  Lock is 1 month old though so batteries should be good.  Either way I just learned it's pronounced Shhh-lag!  I've always called it "Schlage" like "Lodge"

Beeping and an orange flashing is an indication  of a low battery.

Low battery.  I just find it annoying that you have to wait for the beeps before it unlocks.  I think the priorities need to be adjusted in their code.

Just annoying enough to make you want to change the battery sooner rather than later B)

Yeah that's what it was.  More annoying that the lock is 1 month old and the batteries it came with are dead lol.  The ISY says 95% when I check them.  I didn't have 4 AA's kicking around so just swapped 1 with 1 new one temporarily and that fixed it.  So can't be that dead, but good to know at least!  I JUST installed this one to replace the exact same model that completely died 9 months after I bought it.  So as soon as I saw this I thought no way!

Mixing new and old batteries is a sure way to shorten the life of both the new and old batteries.
