smokegrub Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 My Admin Console times out after a relatively brief period of inactivity and there is no indication this has occurred. That is, you can be thinking you are doing work in the console only to find that none of your work was actually processed. Ultimately, I get the password window and when I enter my credentials all is well again. Is there a setting to extend the time before a timeout? I would prefer the Admin Console remain open and active until I make a decision to close it.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Hi smokegrub, This is most probably due to firewall issues: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Configuring_a_Firewall_for_Your_ISY With kind regards, Michel
smokegrub Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 Michel: MacBook Pro Yosemite 10.10.5 Firewall turned off. FileVault turned off. There is no firewall in place.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Hi smokegrub, If you keep getting the authentication dialog, it means that ISY cannot publish events (and specifically heartbeat) to the Admin Console. This can only happen when ISY cannot find the Admin Console on the network. The major causes are firewall software (which you don't have) or network connectivity. You may want to try https instead of http. If that works, then MAC security is blocking publication of events from ISY to your computer. With kind regards, Michel
