Nestor Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I suspect Mobilinc prematurely drained my iPhone 5s battery prematurely today within about two hours. I was using a streaming audio app at the time, but it's usually good for several hours before I need to consider putting it on charge. Whatever was draining the battery was drawing a lot of resources because the phone was very warm to the touch. To investigate further, I checked the battery settings and discovered that in the last 24 hours, Mobilinc had used 70% of the battery. The next in line was my audio streaming app at 11%. I can only conclude that Mobilinc was the culprit. Another thing to note, I added a button on Today View to run "Then" on my Away program on the occasion that my geofence misses. I attribute that more to the black box that is The Apple Location Services than to anything Mobilinc. I mention this because when I pulled down the Today Screen, The Mobilinc buttons were unresponsive. I was on my way to an appt, so I couldn't fuss with it, but In retrospect, this may have indicated something had gone haywire earlier. Any idea what would cause such a demand on the iPhone resources and rain the battery? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
InsteonNut Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi Nestor, Certainly the 70% is very abnormal. Your clue about the Today View is important (being unresponsive). I suspect (as you did) that something in the iPhone went haywire. Here's what I would suggest: - Remove the MobiLinc Today View widget from the Today View. - Reboot the iPhone. - Confirm the widget is still removed. - Add the Widget back. - Verify that when pulling down the Today View you can tap and activate the MobiLinc buttons on the Today View.
