Cannot determine Insteon Engine - Comm issues

There is bad comm to device.    The Standard commands have a Max Hops=3, Hops Left=0 which is as bad as it can get and still work.   The Extended command got no response from device on any of the three attempts.  

 

What devices are used to couple the 2 120v legs?

Also since that is a 2 wire dimmer, it needs to be connected to an "incandescent bulbs only".

 

Also there must be an RF capable device available to receive comm from 2474.

the malfunctioning 2474's load is incandescent  and the switch works fine locally, there are six other dual mode switches in this room ... all other switches work fine and are linked by the ISY994

Here are 2 other things to try

  1. Put the device in linking mode and use the 'Start linking' method of adding the device to the ISY. I've had a couple of stubborn devices that would only add that way. No idea why, but it worked
  2. Try a factory reset of the device (as opposed to air-gapping) and try adding again.
