Posted April 16, 20169 yr There's an app called Roger for both Andriod and IOS that connects with Echo. It's basically a walkie talkie phone app (a la the old Sprint). My guess is the developer read through the Java code that Amazon posted on github for the Raspberry Pi. I tried it out and was able to turn on a house light remotely.

April 16, 20169 yr Author It's kinda cool. It won't do weather though...unless you want/need to know the weather at Amazon HQ in Seattle.
April 16, 20169 yr Author Fixed the weather issue. The Roger app sets itself up as an Echo device on the Alexa app so all I had to do was to change its location settings.
