paauto
Guys - I have a wireless Polk Audio subwoofer connected to my Sonos system. With my wired subwoofers I can put them into "Auto" mode so they turn on automatically when they sense signal and off when the signal turns off. The wireless version does not support this so I have to turn it on/off manually when I turn on/off Sonos. Is there a way for me to turn the subwoofer on/off automatically via an insteon outlet that is linked via the ISY to Sonos? Thanks. Link to comment
gweempose
I have no personal experience with them, but Smarthome makes a load sensing module called the SynchroLinc. It can be used to create custom triggers based on power state. It sounds like this might be exactly what you are looking for .... http://www.smarthome.com/synchrolinc-insteon-2423a5-power-synching-controller.html Link to comment
paauto
That looks like the route to go. The amp that powers the speakers has a standby mode that is triggered by the Sonos unit. I can use the controller you reference above to monitor the state of the amp and then trigger an outlet linc to turn on the subwoofer. Thanks! Link to comment
