LinkDad1967 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 A newbie to ZWave with some new controls for my kitchen. They are Kichler dimmers for LED under cabinet lighting. I can add them just fine into ISY. I can manipulate them directly from the console, turning them on, off, dim up, dim down, etc. I can drag them into my existing scenes that are made up of all Insteon controls and see them in the tree to the left. However, when I click on the scene name or any of the controllers in the scene, the ZWave controls do not show up to configure. I upgraded the firmware, but I still don't see them. I've only been able to get them to work with my Insteon controls by creating programs. Any help?
mwester Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 That's pretty much how the z-wave stuff works right now. Full scene support may be coming in a future firmware release, but right now you'll need programs.
LinkDad1967 Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 Thanks for the quick reply! I was afraid of that. I least I know I'm not doing something wrong.
Michel Kohanim Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Hello everyone, Just an update: we are close! With kind regards, Michel
oberkc Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 my experience (only a small number of z-wave devices) is that z-wave devices work in scenes as responders (no doubt with assist from the ISY), but do not behave as scene controllers. Also, when using z-wave devices as program triggers, only STATUS works, not CONTROL. Perhaps there are differences between z-wave devices, so YMMV.
