TJF1960 Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Hello io_guy, I have been trying out NodeLink and have been able to add dsc alarm to it and isy successfully. I am having issues with the webcontrol8 boards. I believe they have changed the gui and I am getting this error WC8: Data poll error - Invalid URI: The Authority/Host could not be parsed. Reading thru the forum I found a post by Xathros where he had attached his xml file from his wc8 which stated his fw was v03.02.13 Mine is v03.02.18b5 I have attached mine for reference. Thanks, Tim wc8.txt
io_guy Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Tim, Is it the same /api/status.xml url you use to get this info? I dump your file directly into NodeLink and it parses fine. What address do you have configured in the NodeLink page, this seems more like an http issue.
TJF1960 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 Yes, I copied that info right from one of my wc8's from my browser.. I am using "192.168.0.169" as the address. admin / admin as user/pass. Does the "NetBIOS name" in wc8 matter? Do you need "web login enabled"?
io_guy Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 NetBIOS doesn't matter. If you can get to it with Internet Explorer, then NodeLink should work (for login). Any chance you can expose it externally to allow me to connect?
TJF1960 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 Is there a setting by chance in NodeLink that will allow you to access? Or do I need to configure in my router to expose it?
TJF1960 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 Ok, do you need access to the Nodelink webpage or wc8 webpage or the entire pogoplug?
io_guy Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Also, the /api/status.xml you see in the browser - is it getting redirected to https or anything like that? Meaning once you view it in the browser, does the final url still show http://<ipaddress>/api/status.xml?
TJF1960 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 No redirect, this is copied directly from the address bar after the xml page comes up "http://192.168.0.169/api/status.xml" I have sent you a pm. Thanks, Tim
TJF1960 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 Big thanks to io_guy once again. It turns out that in the "Device" tab when I was adding another device I was changing the "Node Profile Number" increasing it by 1. Once I left the profile number the same the Uri error would occur after adding a device until NodeLink was restarted. Then all was well. Thanks again, Tim
