asbril Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Yesterday, I had a short power outage at home and when my ISY994ZW came back, all Zwave devices worked fine (and still do) but my X10 and Insteon devices no longer do. In Tools, Diagnostics, PLM Status/Info, shows the PLM as connected. What should I do ?
paulbates Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 The power incident may have confused the PLM. If you haven't tried already, Unplug both the ISY and PLM Wait 10 seconds Plug in the PLM Wait 10 seconds plug in the ISY Paul
apostolakisl Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Is your PLM a little over 2 years old? My bet is your PLM died. It is not unusual for a power outage to be the straw that breaks the back of a PLM. SH used under-spec'd capacitors which die, typically about 2 months after warranty expires. Sometimes a reboot of the system will bring it back to life for a few hours or days. See the thread on this forum about replacing the capacitors.
Teken Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 This was best phrased by Stu in the past - which is the 2413S PLM is a lifetime subscription product. Perhaps the subscription has since expired . . .
asbril Posted July 20, 2016 Author Posted July 20, 2016 I have tried your suggestion but no luck. The PLM probably died. This is the time to switch my 3 remaining Insteon / X10 devices to Zwave, as I have 30 plus Zwave devices. It was fun while it lasted and I like Zwave more anyway. Thanks for your suggestions !!!!!
