Posted August 9, 20169 yr My Leviton dimmers and switches are not reporting status to the ISY (secondary controller). I think that I need set the associations so that the switch/dimmer alerts the ISY that its status has changed. Any idea how to do this? Either through the leviton software or the ISY?
August 9, 20169 yr The only way to accomplish that is to use Z-Wave devices that do report their status, Lutron for example, and a few others.
August 9, 20169 yr you can assign a second association to group 1 on all of your devices; so associate each device to SmartThings and the ISY. if you do that, each controller will get updates on change as long as they are directly associated. i can walk you through what you need to do on SmartThings in order to access that setting, so let me know what you need.
August 9, 20169 yr Author Smart things is out. Leviton usb is the primary so that I can have full support of my scene controllers.
August 9, 20169 yr the same premise would hold true - assign the ISY an association on each device from RFIT. so if the ISY is node 10, and the VRC0P is node 3, every device would be associated to 10 and 3 on Group 1.
August 10, 20169 yr the same premise would hold true - assign the ISY an association on each device from RFIT. so if the ISY is node 10, and the VRC0P is node 3, every device would be associated to 10 and 3 on Group 1. That is true, but most devices don't support associations. The only device that I have been succesful with passing status to both my controllers is the Homeseer switch. It sends the ISY status when it is the primary and secondary...
August 11, 20169 yr Is this working for you yet? I just got my ISY today, was hoping to leave the abomination known as RFIT/VRUSB behind and just use ISY. I have 3 VRCS2 and 1 VRCZ4, so i'm torn between resurrecting RFIT/VRUSB and temporarily abandoning automated control over those 4 controllers until 5.x comes out. I have 19 ViziaRF dimmers & switches and another 4 ViziaRF plug in modules which work fine although they're taking 5 seconds or so to report updates to ISY. Edited August 11, 20169 yr by IVB
August 11, 20169 yr Hi IVB, I suggest waiting for 5.0.5 and not mess around with RFIT etc. The most important thing right now is to make sure you are comfortable with ISY capabilities and features. Once that's accomplished, then upgrading to 5.0x or adding other esoteric devices should be less of a problem. with kind regards, Michel
