aaronb
I was on 5.0.4 and attempted to transfer to my Z-Wave network to my Aeon Mini Controller to add two switches that I thought might have range problems directly to my ISY. I don't believe the network transferred as it went very quickly. I only have about 8 Z-Wave devices. When I try to transfer back to the ISY, the minimote goes through light blinking and then turns on one solid red LED in the right corner but never transfers back. Is there a way to force the ISY to retake primary control?
Chris Jahn
Hi aaronb, Yes, the ISY can take back primary control, but keep in mind, the ISY Z-Wave dongle will remove all its Z-Wave network info, and then copy all the information from the current primary controller (this is standard Z-Wave, nothing special about it being an ISY). Therefore, if a minimote is the primary controller, it will not bring over secure devices like door locks etc. because minimote doesn't support Z-Wave security command classes. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Z-Wave_GenII_-_Instructions#Shift_Primary_Control_to_ISY
