Steve Sullivan Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I have a Motion Sensor I use to trigger events for my basement utility room. Somehow this sensor is now also triggering lights in my 1st floor bathroom. There is no scene with these devices together. Nor is there a program that would trigger this event. I removed the sensor, factory reset and restored. I have also factory reset the Bath Light Switchinc relay which works until I restore the device wth ISY. If I restore a device, ISY relinks these devices. So how do I get the ISY to forget these links?
Michel Kohanim Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Hello Steve, This is very odd. If you look at Tools->Diagnostics->ISY Link Table for your 1st floor bathroom, do you see a link to your motion sensor? Is your 1st floor bathroom part of any scenes? If so, how many and in what role (controller/responder). Was the motion sensor ever a controller for any one of these scenes? If so, which one? If you know which one, put the sensor in that scene and then remove it. With kind regards, Michel I have a Motion Sensor I use to trigger events for my basement utility room. Is your 1st floor bathroom part of any scenes? If so, how many and in what role (controller/responder). Was the motion sensor ever a controller for any one of these scenes? If so, which one? If you know which one, put the sensor in that scene and then remove it. There are two switches, One part of three scenes, the other part of four. They are not controllers, just responders. The motion sensor is not part of any of the scenes. There was a scene for just the bathroom lights, I added the motion sensor to that and removed it just in case. Didn't work. I then deleted the scene all together. The motion sensor still controls the lights. With kind regards, Michel I have a Motion Sensor I use to trigger events for my basement utility room. Steve Sullivan Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Sorry Gary, I had sent my reply in the body of Michels response. Here is what I did. Removed the motion sensor from ISY, restored the bathroom switches along with the utility room switch. Readded the motion sensor to ISY. So far so good. When I manually trigger the motion sensorthe bathroom lights don't turn on/off. Thanks!
G W Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Don't be sorry Steve. Just having a little fun. We are so busy with trying to make things work that sometimes we forget to enjoy life.
