This is a real newbie question, I don't know where to find the ISY username and password. I tried what I use when I start the Universal Devices Admin Console but that's not right. I can't think of anything else that it could be.

Thanks

The default user name and password is admin / admin

The default user name and password is admin / admin

Do you still use the default admin/admin when you log directly into the ISY admin console?  If so that should work.  The Agave app uses the same credentials as the admin console.

Right after I install the app (this screen also shows up when I switch profiles), a screen comes up that asks for my ISY username, ISY password, ISY Address & port, then gives me the option of "Use SSL" or "Portal Login".

I used the username and password that I use for my admin console, the address that shows when I choose Help/About from the admin console, it is set to 443 when choose "Portal Login". It doesn't work.

I also tried the username and password I use when I login to the ISY portal (https://my.isy.io/index.htm).

Is your phone using cell data or Wi-Fi to connect to the ISY?

Did you set up port forwarding in your router?

What method are you using to access the ISY; Local, Internet or Portal?

I tried with both wi-fi and cell, I don't think I've set up port forwarding, and I don't understand your last question.

What address are you putting under ISY Address?

If you are trying to access the ISY on your LAN / wifi network: Instead of manually typing in the address of your ISY try tapping the target icon next to the address line.  This will autodetect the ISY address and enter it for you.

The Admin Console and portal can be set you to use different credentials. Did you do that? Can you log in to the Admin Console from a browser? Are you having difficulty logging in to the portal only?

BTW, you do not need to set up port forwarding for the portal.

I think I need to figure out how to set up port forwarding and try all of this tomorrow.

Thanks all, I post more if I need more help

You do not need to nor should you set up port forwarding if you are using the portal. If you are not using the portal, then port forwarding is required for remote access.

Let us know if you still need help. I've set up all there connections. Local, Portal and Internet in that order. Internet and Portal are redundant because sometimes I lose portal access.

When you use higher order port numbers like 443 you must match the prefix for secure communication.

Use https://ww.xx.yy.zz:443 (Note 's')
