apostolakisl Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Here is what happens. If I use agave for Insteon stuff, it works fine. If I exit, the app, it actually closes the app. If I use Elk, it works fine on the main page. In other words, arming/disarming stuff. If I click "zones" or "outputs" it crashes. 100% of the time. Rebooting the phone doesn't fix it. Sometimes it automatically reopens after a crash. If it does that, and then I manually exit the program, the program does not close. The agave symbol is still in the top of my screen and I have to use the force stop feature. And yes, I did send the error reports on several occasions. Though it does not always give me that option. Im using Android 4.4.2

Im using Android 4.4.2 For the crash. Try "Long pressing" the small shield. It should bring up a data reload. Make sure that your topology is uptodate on the ISY and run that data reload. It shouldn't be an issue, but I have received issues every once in a while that a full ELK data refresh fixed the problem. Down the road, I have added a catch to prevent the app from crashing that will be out on the next release.
apostolakisl Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 OK, did a refresh topology on ISY for elk and now it seems to work. Not sure how ISY topology could be wrong, I haven't changed my Elk configuration in years.
giesen Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 I still have the same problem, even after refreshing the Elk data Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
apostolakisl Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 I still have the same problem, even after refreshing the Elk data Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk After you enter the elk home screen, press and hold the elk logo toward the top of the page. That will trigger agave to refresh data. Of course prior to that I did the ISY refresh topology. Until I did the press and hold on the elk logo it still crashed. After that, it worked. If you did that, then I don't have anything else.
giesen Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Yup did all that. Sent a couple android crash reports as well Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
James Peterson Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Yup did all that. Sent a couple android crash reports as well Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk The next release should fix the crash but the error may still happen. I still need to know the issue so If the error still happens after the next release turn on debugging mode and go through the error and send me the report.
brian143 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I still get the error after trying all the tricks listed here. I just switched to beta, but I had sent a crash report yesterday before switching to beta if that helps. Using pixel xl, up to date software.

Try turning on debugging mode in agave settings, running through the error and send me the report. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Squiddy Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I'm getting the same error popup when I try to open up Zones or Outputs. I can arm/disarm just fine and if I don't click Continue on the Zones tab, the zone statuses still update. The outputs tab doesn't work at all. I sent you a log.

This bug has been fixed and pushed to production. I would recommend anyone that has an ELK to update. There was a pretty big bug in the output parsing and will causing issues eventually for anyone using the previous versions. many thanks to Squiddy for helping me get this resolved.
Charlie_Morlock Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 What version has it been corrected on? I have version code 328, and am still getting the error. Sent from my LG-V410 using Tapatalk
James Peterson Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 v329 - should be available in the market now. Make sure you do a ELK refresh when you get the update. (Long Press the Small Elk shield on the status activity)
Charlie_Morlock Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 That was quick. Updated and refreshed data, can confirm that it is working now. Sent from my LG-V410 using Tapatalk
