sorry for the dumb question; I am away from my system until the weekend but am trying once and for all to get internet access working again

I have dyndns set up and working

I have never successfully gotten a certificate; my memory is it asks for an IP address, but that's dynamic. What do you put there?

Hello gfrnd,

 

Since you have dyndns, all you have to do is to enter your dyndns name.

 

As far as installing certificates, please make sure you are LOCAL to your ISY otherwise the process will not work (insecure) .
