Amazon has added a wake word for Echo

Amazon has added "Computer" as a wake word. Don't mention computer near an Echo or Dot if you use the new wake word B)

I like it. I'm happy to see it evolve.

My Uncle used to use Homeseer and called his virtual assistant "computer". He later changed it to "Amber" and gave her a British accent.

I haven't seen any changes here yet, for mine.

Amazon needs to add a few more names that aren't quite so common and enough of them, that every TV show and movie doesn't trigger it a dozen times per evening by harrassing the poor girl with ridicule.

I hope the girl that "donated her voice" is getting paid well. She sings quite a few songs now.

The Alexa app can recognize most names we give to devices. I'd like the app to recognize a wake name of my choosing. (Also posted on the Echo forum.)
