steve_p Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I am considering changing my current OmniPro II alarm system out with an Elk. I see there are a few different models and I want to make sure I know what I would need to have it work with ISY. It looks like there is the Elk M1 Gold at SmartHome http://www.smarthome.com/128301/M1-Gold-Kit-With-Semi-Flush-Mount-Keypad-Security-and-Home-Automation-System-M1GSYS4S/p.aspx Then there is also the Elk M1EZ8 http://www.smarthome.com/12838/M1EZ8-Kit-Transformer-LCD-Keypad-Battery-Speaker-M1EZ8KB/p.aspx Will either of these work with ISY or only the M1 Gold? I see there is a more expensive Elk kit here that includes the ISY which I already have as well as some other items. http://www.smarthome.com/128301I/INSTEON-Compatible-M1-Gold-Kit-Security-and-Automation-System/p.aspx Do I need the M1-Ethernet-Port-Expander-Interface-M1XEP? http://www.smarthome.com/1283XEP/M1-Ethernet-Port-Expander-Interface-M1XEP/p.aspx Is there anything else I need to have the Elk work with my existing ISY-99i? Thanks, Steve
Michel Kohanim Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hi Steve, You need ELK M1 Gold + ELK M1 XEP. That's all you need from ISY communications perspective. With kind regards, Michel
