bjankovich407 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Hi, I bought a Tower Garden and it requires a constant watering. One day there was heavy rain which popped the GFI circuit so I bought an Insteon outlet and want to replace the timer with home automation to turn the pump on for 15 minutes at a time 2x per hour. I also wanted to be able to get txts should the program not be able to turn outlet on/off so it doesn't go unwatered for long periods of time. Would greatly appreciate some direction on creating a program to accomplish this.
stusviews Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Rain should not pop a circuit unless whatever is connected to the circuit is unprotected in which case rain will do it no matter what you use. Can you provide more details about how rain popped the circuit? Also, do you want the watering period to run 24/7 or only during certain hours?
