Update:  current patch 1.6.526 v361

New release is out.  It should be available in the market very soon.

Features include:

- Family Access Manager

- New favorite tile layout

- improved transition management.

- bug fixes

This update cleans up a bunch of issues that have been getting reported on the forums or through bug reports in google.

The new family manager system is the result of multitudes of requests to add family sharing.  Since google does not offer a system capable of accomplishing what was needed for this I gave in and created a system that I believe can handle most situations that would be needed in maintaining a sharing system of this type.  The family share maintainer can allocate out permissions at or below his/her purchased access to other members of the family group.  The family access manager has three separate purchases available in purchases ranging from +1 to +3 additional members which allows for a possible total of 6 additional members in the family access system.  I am currently pricing the system at $9.99 per member.  This is to help me recover some of the costs of the additional server required for this as well as development costs.  I feel this is more then fare as each of these members can have all of the permissions that the master member has or all the way down to a simple basic access level.  This gives a great deal of control to the family access master member to delegate specific control to everyone in the household.

I have created documentation for this system at https://www.agaveha.com/documentation/family-access-manager/

If anyone has any questions let me know.  I am always open to suggestions.

I updated just now. The app starts on the home screen and connects. I didn't see any devices update. Attempting to navigate to any device results in the app crashing. This happens from the Home screen and by using the navigation through the menu.

I was able to get to Settings and turn on debug. I sent the log file in just now.

Would you rather this be at Bitbucket or here? I have used it in the past but TBH it doesn't seem like you're managing things there. I don't see things getting updated or closed out. Do you want us to send to use Google to report?

Very nice! Like the new look and how favorites open with animation, very cool. But on my Nexus 6P all my scenes show members are empty when I look at the scene. I've had this happen before and a refresh brings them back, but do you want to see anything before I refresh?

Could you turn debugging on and send me a report when viewing a scene.  I sure its just because the DB was updated for this version, but it will help in case anyone else is having the issue.

OK, will do. The same thing happened on my Pixel C, but only for my home profile and the ISY is on 5.0.4, my lake house on 4.5.4 looks fine.

Good to know.

I had problems with crashes on 358 as well. Finally had to uninstall, go back 3 releases, install, then update to 358 again. Using isy 5.0.4. Now all is well and I love the updated look and more stable feel! Thanks. Bob Chappelear.

Well, looks like I spoke too soon. My problem with the new release of Agave hasn't gone away after all. Back to crashing every time I try to open it on 358. A little better on 359.

I responded to your email Bob.  We should be able to get this resolved pretty quick.

It isn't crashing on me anymore.

One minor point of feedback is that the new orange corner slightly dips into the first number of the temperature on my tstat.

I am noticing some devices are not showing current status on home screen until you go in to the individual device. Hitting the refresh button on the home page didn't correct the issue, I needed to go in to the device.

So far I have noticed this on a weave thermostat, a variable, and a lamp link.

I'll try to improve this on next update.

Thanks, I will download it now.

I am not sure if this is related, however, last night I needed to go in to the admin console to check something. When I logged in I received a "Maximum Subscribers Reached" message. I rebooted ISY and did what I had to do.

I was just in the admin console and received the same message again. I have never seen this message before and it wasn't there the last time I was in ISY which was Thursday.

Is this related to some Agave changes? I haven't made any changes in over two weeks with my system.

I installed the update, but I couldn't get Agave to respond at all. While it loaded my home page, it wouldn't update status on the home page or within the device. The status light stayed on all the time. I went in to settings and refreshed data, but that didn't help. After all this the app crashed and I sent you a crash report.

My ISY is still displaying the "Maximum subscribes Reached" notice. I rebooted the ISY, but that hasn't helped.

I've never seen the max subscribers reached notification. I do believe that the limit is 6 or 8. Not sure of which though.

Try going to:

<isy addr>/rest/subscriptions and see what that says.

Crash appears to be unrelated to network issues.

Update:

My problems with max subscriptions being reached continued in to the evening. This was preventing me from seeing status or controlling devices from the admin console and mobile apps. I tried several times to reboot the ISY and even power cycled the ISY, but the problem continued.

I uninstalled Agave v1.6.521 from my device, but left a pre- v1.6 version of Agave on my wife's device. I then rebooted the ISY and I was able to login to the admin console without an issue, with full status and control. Also, Mobilinc started working again. I left everything like this overnight.

As of this morning, everything is still normal. Going to <isy addr>/rest/subscriptions shows no issue with subscriptions. I am going to wait awhile and reinstall Agave and see what happens.
