I see this message almost everytime I attempt to log into my ISY from a non-local computer. "Socket open failed Java.netSocket timeout exception".

 

Sometimes I see this message as well- "Socket open failedJava.lang.Illegal state exception: SSL ContexImpl is not initialized"

 

Am I doing something wrong? When this happens I can usually get to my programs but my network is unavailable. After several tries I can usually get in.

The first message is because the applet cannot find ISY. The second happens because of Java cache. I suspect you are not going to see the first one after you clear your Java cache:

 

Close all your browser windows

Control Panel->Java->Settings->Delete Files
