elJosho Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I have a problem with 4 out of 5 of the Aeon in-wall micro switches (2nd edition, not dimmer, no metering) that I own. I had 4 of them (that were previously working on my Vera) paired to the ISY, and for a number of reasons decided to reset everything and start over from scratch - now I have almost all of my other dozens of zwave devices working except for those 4 switches. The one I didn't have paired originally works fine, but the others are acting very weird - they are now configured for a momentary switch (have to flip the switch twice to get the lights to turn on/off) and won't respond to on/off commands. I also have a few 1st gen aeon micro dimmer in-wall units (with metering) and they're working fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Josh
Michel Kohanim Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Hi Josh, I am certain that you have already tried Z-Wave | Exclude and Include. If so, please do let me know and we'll send a link to this post to our AeoTech experts. With kind regards, Michel
elJosho Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 Unfortunately they no longer respond to exclude or include at all, even with the isy right next to them. I've got a zstick somewhere that I'm going to try and connect them to that when I find it and get the software set up to see if I can get into them that way. I'm hoping that there's a way to hard reset them (by hand), hard to troubleshoot as it is now. Thanks for your help! -Josh
Michel Kohanim Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Hi Josh, That's definitely not normal especially since they do not even respond to exclude. Is it possible to try and factory reset them again? With kind regards, Michel
elJosho Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 Is there a way to factory reset them? I can't find anything in the manual.
Michel Kohanim Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Hi Josh, I am sure there is. Have you contacted their tech support? With kind regards, Michel
elJosho Posted July 11, 2017 Author Posted July 11, 2017 Got it! I tried turning the breaker off for one of the switches for a full 24 hours, once I powered it back up I was able to exclude/include. I repeated the process with the other units and they're all working again. Thanks for your help! -Josh
