Network went down after storm and now can't find ISY

Ever since an electrical storm last night, I can't communicate with my ISY 994i.  Is it possible that it is damaged?  Nothing else in the computer cabinet was damaged and the ISY is plugged into a surge protector.  All three blue lights are on solid.  No other lights.  The back LAN connector has one solid green and the other is blinking (not really blinking buy quick sporadic flashing).

I can't connect to it at all.

Should I order a replacement?  How can I reset it?

There is a troubleshooting chart based on the LED pattern. Not sure where to find it but Google is your friend.

First try a power cycle of the PLM and ISY.  PLM gets powered up first for a few seconds, and then ISY.

If that doesn't work, try a factory reset. Research how to do it, so you have better access to proper troubleshooting information.

I hope you have a good backup file. If you factory reset it, you will need the factory password, reset the location information and then use your back up file.

If all three Blue LEDs are on. That is not correct.

Here is some UDI Wiki information on the front panel LEDs.

Before calling the ISY994i defective. I would also suggest the power up sequences mentioned to see if anything changed.

I would suspect the 2413S PLM before the ISY994i. Unless you where counting on Insteon RF only and the PLM was also on a surge suppressor or UPS.

It is directly connected to the incoming AC power. I have also seen some indications the RS232 IC in the 2413S PLM was sometimes an issue and I know they changed it to an ESD rated IC in the hardware 2.3 and above.

Chances are if the LEDs are lit, then the power supply is OK. In any event, a supply from 5 to 30VDC will work. I'm using a 12VDC supply.

The three lights on the front panel stay lit even when the ISY is off the grid.  I think it's toast.  I've ordered a replacement and if that works, then I'll send this unit back for repairs and keep it as a spare.

Thanks!

I would have called support first. This is very rare.
