Seems like this should not be possible

Hello,

I saw this the other day and thought you might want to see it as well.

I only saw it once [that I noticed].  That said, it is not infrequent for me to see no connection.  And I am not sure how to get it to initiate one when there is none.post-9619-0-86910200-1502150221_thumb.png

Interesting.  its not possible.  I would guess there is an issue with the notification code that allowed the [1] connection icon to remain on when it switched to [2].

On a side note - If you have a ROOTED phone, it is "technically possible to have both connections running side by side, but I never tested it.

While on the subject, how does Agave decide which connection to use?  Does it always use connection 1 and then fall over to 2 if 1 fails?  Will it try to use an http connection as a preferred vs https?

Ideally, you would be able to tell it to use a specific connection when connected to a certain wifi ap as first priority so it doesn't waste time looking for ISY on the LAN network when you aren't on your LAN.

There is an option in the settings to set the preferred order of connection.  Then when it tries to connect, it just processes in that order.

Settings -> Logon Settings -> Auto Detect Connection order

How about adding this option

"when on SSID x, use connection 1, else ue 2"

I already to this in a sense but I use the subnet and check if its a routable address for determining if the connection check should skip.

Sounds good.  I guess you need to use an uncommon subnet then on your LAN so when connected to other LAN's it isn't the same.  ie not 192.168.1.x

Correct.  This does get tricky with VPNs though.  This is why I added the additional VPN check in the options.

Nope.  Not rooted.  Sony Xperia Z5 Compact running the current ROM (7.1.1).
