Z-Wave Antenna

Protect the ISY from what?

For all you antenna-geeks calculating optimum lengths, here is the current simple copper version of the internal antenna on the Z-wave daughterboard (btw...I love geeks, so don't pounce).  This antenna is about 2-in long with no evidence of any change to the PCB arrangement.  I've been trying to figure out if I should now be thinking external or if this short length of copper will work OK?  I'll press on and install and see how things go.

Your best bet is to leave the antenna on the board as is and add a Range Extender 6 repeater within 20 feet of the ISY. The repeater has an higher RF output than the RFoutput on the daughterboard. The higher the outlet you plug the repeater into the better the RF coverage area.
