xyzsal1 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 I have an Insteon Mini Remote 2342-2. The device address is worn off the back making it barely readable. I am wanting to link the remote to my ISY but don't know how to add it without being able to read the device address. Any Ideas? Quote
paulbates Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 (edited) Hi and welcome to the UDI formums! You can try the Start Linking option at the top of the Link Management Menu, and then put the remotelinc in linking mode. I've not specifically tried that with a remotelinc, but it wouldn't take long to find out if it works. Paul Edited September 1, 2017 by paulbates Quote
xyzsal1 Posted September 1, 2017 Author Posted September 1, 2017 (edited) Ok I will try that. I was under the impression that all RF devices like Remotes and Motion Sensors, had to be added manually? Edited September 1, 2017 by xyzsal1 Quote
Brian H Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Well you have to wake them up from their power saving mode. Part of the process is manually activating the Link Push Button. Quote
