matt.york Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) We are using a smartenit ezio4o to control a relay to control a window opener which requires a momentary contact, the relays should only be on for a second or so. How is duration controlled? The attachment shows the options available for the ISY to hold the relay on. There are no entries in http://wiki.universal-devices.com which describe the option for Beep Duration but we have tested a few and it did not help. Edited September 2, 2017 by matt.york

Most Insteon beep durations do not work as advertised. ISY just puts it out as it was defined by SH.
Teken Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I don't own this device but past threads indicate most of the features are changed and operated by this software application: http://smartenit.com/resources-and-downloads/
Brian H Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) Beep Duration is for the time period an internal modules beeper sounds. If the ISY994i does not show a setting for the EZI04O relay duration. You will have to set it up with the Smartenit Utility Suite linked to in the thread. It needs a Insteon Interface to the power lines to work. Like a PLM {2412S/U or 2413S/U} or older PLC {2414S/U,2814U}. The PLC also need the SDM308 Smarthome Device Manager installed. I have seen things here where the ISY994i's PLM can be used. As it should alter the PLM Link Database. Remember to power down the ISY994i and PLM. Then connect the PLM to the serial port and run the Smartenit Utility Suite. When powering the ISY994i back up. Power the PLM first and allow it to initialize. Then the ISY994i so it can find the PLM during initialization. It will need a Serial Port connection. If you don't have a Serial Port I understand many of the USB to serial adapters will work. The needed Serial Cable is packed in the 2413S or 2412S shipping box. Edited September 2, 2017 by Brian H
