theedudenator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 My zwave re-set my devices, so they don't have names. Just the default ISY assigned ZW name. How can I determine what each zwave device is? Can I make certain ones blink or anything?
tibbar Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I would open "Event Viewer" within Administrative Console, trip one sensor at the time then look at the address in "Event Viewer" it will show something like: [ZW028_155] DON 100 as sensor ON and [ZW028_155] DOF 0 as being OFF so the sensor that was just tripped is ZW028. Hope that helps.
theedudenator Posted October 3, 2017 Author Posted October 3, 2017 That is what I am afraid of... seems like a lot of work. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
stusviews Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Work!! Oh, no!! Fearful, fully fearful. Freakingly, fully fearful. WTF BTW, how did your Z-Wave reset? An advantage is that used IDs get reset, too.
theedudenator Posted October 3, 2017 Author Posted October 3, 2017 No clue what happened. I used event, that was actually easy. Did not realize it was real-time. But now I am seeing I have 2 devices that appear to be the same. ZW002_147 Binary Switch ZW002_118 Multilevel Sensor ZW019_1 On/Off Power Switch ZW019_118 Multi_level sensor

Then there are several other places I also use some of them making more than two for some.

Some useless modes just pop up weeks after installing the primary device.

Only my Kwikset locks don't create these phantom nodes. Any way to delete them? I've created a "phantom node" folder and tucked them away until a solution comes my way... PhanTomiZ
stusviews Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 My Schlage deadbolts (BE469) show an extra node, my Schalge Entry lever (FE599) does not.
