Wrong On Level and Ramp Rate

I just was checking my devices and discovered they all show "0%" for the On Level and "9.0 Min" for the Ramp Rate. The correct values show up if I query each device.

Is this a known problem?

Is it a good ideo to do a complete system reset/restore from time to time? My main system consists of a 99i v.2.6.7 and about 15 insteon devices. What would be the correct procedure and order?

Thanks.

Hi Chuck,

It seems that your PLM is no longer communicating with your INSTEON network.

This said, however, the first step is to upgrade to the official 2.7.0 release. After the upgrade, check Tools->Diagnostics->PLM Status/Info. If it shows disconnected, then, in all likelihood you either have a defective PLM or the cable that connects it to ISY.

Do NOT reset/restore anything please as it would have NO impact in what you are currently experiencing.

With kind regards,

Michel

Hi Chuck -

As Michel suggested I would update to the latest firmware. If the devices show a 0 on level and 9 min ramp rate it indicates we were not able to get good information the last time we tried to query the devices. Manually querying each device, as you mentioned, fixes the status.

Update to the latest firmware, then check your devices after the ISY reboot and make sure the levels look OK. If they do, check them again after the next 3am query to ensure they still look OK.
