You should be able to see the skill.

Try this;

Go to: alexa.amazon.com

Click on Skills

Search for "ISY"

You should see "ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2"

Not found on web app either ..... same when I search in smart home skills.

See attached screenshot.

I'm sure you've seen this already: https://developer.amazon.com/blogs/alexa/post/c53176c7-2f4e-4598-935b-7e5d3b08b97e/how-to-update-your-skills-for-canada

Unfortunately the alexa app or website won't let me download any skills unless I select my language as English (Canada)

I'm located in Canada and can see the skill.

It seems like you can't see US skills. I searched for a parameter that perhaps would prevent you from seeing them, but I could not find anything.

I know that Alexa skills now can be enabled for English Canada. Our V3 skills which is coming out soon is. Our V2 skill did not have that option when it was released.

Anyone else in Canada who can't see the skill?

I can see Canadian skills only it seems as you say. Perhaps you can update the v2 skill for English Canada. Perhaps as a developer your skill selection is different than a usual user.

Even on my old Echo where ISY skill was already enabled I can no longer see it when I search for the skill. When I try to open the skill in the app it boots me out. Please address this issue. Thank you.

I'm being told that the behavior you are experiencing (not seing the skill in canada) is normal. That did not explain why I have access to US skills though.

But anyhow, I was told our V3 skill is approved and is about to go live. It is available in canada.

Definitly.  Alexa has been increasing in problems lately with long delay (10-30 seconds) very frequently as well as just ignoring requests, and multiple units duplicating commands.

I changed all of my units to "Echo" (from "Alexa") for a wake word as a workaround for the Ecobee4 stat clash, and now all the units are babbling away in a quiet room sometimes. It seems "Echo" is even worse than "Alexa" as a wake word. Seems even a click sound can wake my Echo / Dots. I constantly have flashing lights on the top of these as they are becoming more of a nuisance than a help.

I hope V3 can help some of this. Not the Wake word but the delays.

Larry, mine don't take 30 seconds.. but the response performance is variable. I even put my Dot near the top of a short QOS priority list on my router so its not competing with all of my other devices.

However, I notice similar delays on non ISY iot device skills too. Without some type of network traffic monitor to watch the requests and responses, its tough to pinpoint the actual performance culprit. I wonder if having multiple devices contributes to performance problems?

Unfortunately I still don't see either skill in the Canadian list, which is all I have access to for some reason. I've even tried making a new Amazon account with a us address but it still detects I'm in Canada. Is there any way you can ask Amazon to remove the geographical restrictions on your skills?

You should wait till the V3 skill is released.

I've found the support for this device to be exemplary thus far. I certainly hope your message Gary doesn't represent universal devices opinion as it falls short of what I expect for a $500 smart home device with included echo support. V3 had been in the works for months. Who knows how much longer it will take Amazon to push to skill store.

I've taken the fight to Amazon. Contact them via Twitter. They do respond.

Maybe I am a causality of the cloud style service through too many bottlenecks from Ca to Ca.

Hello everyone,

To be more specific, I've been told this morning that our skill was approved and instructions have been sent to the certification team to proceed, and as such, it may be live today.

I use Alexa, Echo and/or Computer as wake words (different accounts/rooms). I haven't noticed any differences in response times than can be attributed to the wake word. Nor any different in misunderstood commands. The responses are all mediocre.

The problem is with Amazon, not the ISY skill. I can say that with come certainty as I have skills that don't depend on the ISY at all (e.g., Harmony) and those responses exhibit the same irregularities.

Anxiously awaiting the V3 skill. Thanks again, Benoit B)

Still can't download either skill.

Have you contacted Amazon Support?

Also, at this time V3 is still not released.

I have not contacted Amazon support. Benoit said this is "normal" per his conversation with Amazon. Would appear to me that UDI isn't willing to address the issue and leave new Canadian users hanging, but please correct me if I'm wrong! Edited by beninsteon

Many, many of us are Canadians here. Many of us use Alexa with the ISY portal.
