MikeB Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I have a bank of battery chargers for my drills, etc., lined up on a shelf in the garage. According to my Kill-A-Watt, those chargers consume about .15 amps (18 watts) even when the batteries are fully charged. If you have a spare ApplianceLinc kicking around, consider using it and the ISY to cut power to the chargers for periods of time, maybe overnight, to conserve a bit of energy. Something like this: If From 5:00:00AM To 10:00:00PM (same day) Then Set 'GarageChargers' On Else Set 'GarageChargers' Off When the load is off, the ApplianceLinc will consume only about .4 amps (4.8 watts). Might only save a buck or 2 per month, but at the end of the year it could be enough for a night out to the movies...
