Bmartin15 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Anyone know how the U by Moen app can be set up on Google home? Quote
MWareman Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 You probably need to ask in a forum associated with Moen, rather than this forum dedicated to the ISY Home Automation controller. Unless they offer an integration themselves, it’s unlikely that you can. Quote
lilyoyo1 Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Not yet. I've heard rumors that say they are working on it with Alexa but I have yet to see anything geared towards that as of yet. They won't even release the api so people can code their own systems Quote
Bmartin15 Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Guess it isn't a huge deal. I mean my buddies think I am nuts for just being able to turn my shower on from an app. Me personally getting in a perfectly heated shower is awesome. 1 Quote
lilyoyo1 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Its a great system. I just wish they would open it up a lot more. Im not a big fan of using apps. 1 Quote
Bmartin15 Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 Yea, but laying in bed and being able to turn the shower on is not something I ever expected. I don't know how I live without it now, lol Quote
G W Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) Well... Both Moen and Kohler don't like Home Control. Thank you for contacting Kohler Co. I apologize to inform you that the DTV system does not have the capability to integrate with in home automation at this time. While many customers have provided this feedback, Kohler values the idea and will continuously strive to advance products moving forward. Thank you for your inquiry. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team for additional information or questions, we would be delighted to help. Thank you for choosing KOHLER. Sincerely, Eric M. lilyoyo1 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 When I built my house that's why I went with the Moen over Kohler. The way it looked, I figured if one were to ever be supported it would be them. Enough time has passed that I highly doubt either is working to expand either product. I will say, if someone ever releases a product that is more open, I'd rip the Moen out in a heartbeat. The important part is that the infrastructure is in place Quote
lilyoyo1 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Yea, but laying in bed and being able to turn the shower on is not something I ever expected. I don't know how I live without it now, lol It was cool for me when I first used it but I never adjusted. My girl still uses the app but I manually turn on the shower since I constantly forget about the app Quote
