I am unable to connect to my Smoke Bridge.  It is listed in the devices, but it gives me a message that it cannot determine the Insteon Engine

 

xx.xx.xx INSTEON Smoke Sensor v.00

    -   Cannot determne Insteon Engine

 

Any suggestions?

This is usually related to signal/noise issue. You might want to move the PLM to a different outlet and one which is not shared with other transformers and power supplies.

If you find that powering the PLM from another outlet is successful, then you need to consider that something on the original circuit is causing line noise and should be filtered to minimize the probability of future problems. At that point, you can safely plug the PLM into the original place.

I moved the PLM to a separate outlet.  I get the same results.

Did you try using the "Start linking" option, and then put the smokebridge in linking mode? Its been a while since I had this device, but my recollection was I had to do it that way
