Hi,

 

Has anyone noticed that only the first spoken appears in the Google Home list? I'm not seeing alternative spokens appear.

This is normal. Google Home devices can have nicknames, so the alternate spokens are the devices nicknames.

 

You can turn on/off devices using their nicknames.

Have you figured out a way to override Google's reserved words like "everything"?

I don't think it will be possible.

Not yet, but there is significant chatter on the net about this problem & I hope google will change behaviour with a future update

You are right! User defined shortcuts now override any Google predefined reserved words. This is a new feature as just a few days ago Google support said this was not possible.
