Insteon Leak sensor not resetting?

I have an Insteon leak sensor and it pairs OK with the ISY.  The problem I have is that after testing it, it doesn't change the "wet" and "dry" and reset the unit.  Any idea of how to fix this?

Appreciate your help in advance!

In my experience, you have to press the "Set" button on a leak sensor to reset it after activation.  The newer ones, at least, won't reset themselves.

I have a leak sensor I just set up and it resets fine. I can set it in a dish of water and it activates, take it out and it immediately clears, put it back and it triggers again and so on. The problem I have is if I leave it in the water for more than 10 or 15 seconds the green LED goes from a couple of flashes to a constant strobe like the port on a network switch. The ISY viewer shows a constant stream of DON 2 commands received. Do I have something configured wrong? I don't think it is my test program (see below) because it behaves the same even if the program is disabled. Is it just a bad sensor?

If

                      Status '21.78.88-Wet' is On

               Or  Time is 3:00:00PM

               Or  Time is 4:00:00PM

            And -(

                     |         Status '21.78.88"  is On

                     -)

Then

                     Set Elk speak word 'water'

                     Set Elk speak word 'sensor'

                     Set Elk speak word 'alert'

Else

I have never of a LD sending a dry message without a manual reset from the button.

Something sounds wrong with the device. Did you test the battery voltage with a voltmeter?

Good thought but unfortunately the battery tests fine. Wet and Dry reverse mirror each other. No reset needed.

Over several revisions, reset is automatic or manual. There's no consistency.

BTW, a voltmeter cannot test a battery with any accuracy, there should be a load on the battery. Use a battery tester.
