telljcl Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Mostly Nodeserver starts without issue (if Admin console isn't running...), but more than occasionally I get what you see below - all the error lines have the same time stamp. Sometimes killing / restarting Nodelink (with a 5 second pause between) gives a clean start, other times it has this same issue. Sometimes other errors at startup as well, but killing / restarting yields clean start. larryllix Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 I had that same problem a few versions ago. It seemed if NodeLink started well it worked for days or weeks with very few errors. If it started with errors within a few hours of booting it errorred out a lot until I rebooted and was more lucky with that reboot. Once NodeLink began having errors they seemed to get worse and migrate from one Node into other types of nodes until it either hung or I rebooted it. However, I don't seem to have this in the last few versions and I figured it was always some Ethernet integration interaction between my RPi 3 Raspbian Stretch and Mono. Also io_guy did some improvements on the Ethernet system back then and I am hoping that problem, found or not, got fixed. It seems much better over the last few months with many less errors and not "locking on" into that escalating error mode. Back a few months ago, I also found I had the wrong version of mono installed for my O/S on the RPi 3. I had upgraded my O/S a few times and mono has different released for each Raspbian version. My mono didn't match the current O/S I was running. After doing some research I installed the correct mono version and things improved. IIRC I had to manually pick the matching version of mono on their install website and it overwrote the existing modules.

paulbates Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 The only part of the equation that is on the ISY that I can think of that would generate that error would be the wrong version of node profile for the version of nodelink you have. Nodelink has been able to push the new profile pro-actively in its more recent versions. So that shouldn't be the problem, if you have it configured to autoupdate the profile. Do you have "Auto-Update ISY" checked on the Devices tab so the profile is in sync with your version of nodelink software? If not, check it and click start nodelink from the System Configuration tab. I used to have to reboot the ISY but I don't think that's necessary any longer Paul

Just odd that sometimes (most times) it starts clean, w/out issue, and then other times I get this or other errors - sometimes several times in a row - then all OK again...
