Posted November 22, 20186 yr I can not seem to z-wave upgrade on an ISY that I just had a new dongle added. I keep getting this error (below). Do I have a bad Dongle? The ISY version 5.0.14. Edited November 22, 20186 yr by silverton38
November 22, 20186 yr There’s no need to try to upgrade the firmware on the new dongle. It’s fine as-is.
November 22, 20186 yr The firmware that's currently on the dongle is current. There is no later version available.
November 22, 20186 yr Author I have never had this issue with 7 different ISYs with z-wave. I always go through the upgrade when I first set it up. I also factory reset. I think I just ended up with a bad dongle. Edited November 22, 20186 yr by silverton38
November 22, 20186 yr There’s already a similar thread about this: Unable to update Z-Wave firmware - System too busyhttps://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=23986&share_tid=25049&url=https%3A%2F%2Fforum%2Euniversal-devices%2Ecom%2Findex%2Ephp%3F%2Ftopic%2F25049-Unable-to-update-Z-Wave-firmware---System-too-busy&share_type=tThe bottom line is that there’s nothing to update to at this time, and what you’re seeing isn’t specific to you or your dongle. Just use it as-is.
November 22, 20186 yr @silverton38, as others have correctly noted, you do not need to upgrade the firmware. Also, please do make sure you have 5.0.14 installed. With kind regards, Michel

I will try a factory reset and see if it continues. I will work in email if it needs to be replaced.
