Z-wave Dongle not upgrading - new install

Featured Replies

I can not seem to z-wave upgrade on an ISY that I just had a new dongle added. I keep getting this error (below). Do I have a bad Dongle? The ISY  version 5.0.14.

There’s no need to try to upgrade the firmware on the new dongle. It’s fine as-is.

I have never had this issue with 7 different ISYs with z-wave. I always go through the upgrade when I first set it up. I also factory reset. I think I just ended up with a bad dongle.

There’s already a similar thread about this: Unable to update Z-Wave firmware - System too busy

The bottom line is that there’s nothing to update to at this time, and what you’re seeing isn’t specific to you or your dongle. Just use it as-is.

@silverton38, as others have correctly noted, you do not need to upgrade the firmware. Also, please do make sure you have 5.0.14 installed.

With kind regards,
Michel

I have firmware 5.0.14 installed. I am also having z-wave issues with that ISY. I will try a factory reset and see if it continues. I will work in email if it needs to be replaced.
