Good afternoon,

 

I am living in Québec - Canada & I would like to know if it is possible to send sms (for notifications) with the company : Vidéotron. This is a cell phone company like ATT, Bell, ….

Is it planned to add this possibility to ISY ?

You would need a modem and Internet access to send email. Emails are sent through a service that converts your emails to sms. Your ISP or mobile service (if you have a modem for your mobile device) usually offers this service.

Most ISPs do have email to SMS gateways. For instance, for Verizon it's your-phone-number@vtext.com …. Unfortunately it seems that Videotron is probably the only company that does not have one. Many complaints have been filed alas no response.
