scene: Make changes to all devices?

when I make changes to a device in a scene (like light level), I usually go then to each controller in the scene to hit the check box that says to copy changes from the scene.  But in the scene setting there is a option to check "make changes to all devices"  Does this mean it will make changes to all controllers in the scene>?..if so that would be great!  I always assumed it meant change all the light levels to the recently set changes, which is never what I would want.

Yes, it'll take the values from the top level scene and copies them into each and every member of that controller.
