jkraus Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Hi, I am about to upgrade to isy ver 5.x and so checking out all the prerequisites I noticedI have always been running Java 32 bit, even thought I am Windows 10 64 bit. Do I need to change the Java to 64 bit? does it make a difference? do I uninstall Java 32 first? Thx Joe

Install is made for a 64 bit O/S but java is 32 bit only. I may be wrong but years ago they announced they would never support 64 bit. Apparently java's install made the decision what to install.
paulbates Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 (edited) Go to java.com and click “Free Java download” to install, it will auto-detect and install the correct version for your OS. There is no functional or performance advantage to manually installing the 64bit version for the ISY Admin Console or Dashboard Paul Edited January 15, 2019 by paulbates
