Kwikset 910 lock but not unlock from ISY

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I just setup a Kwikset 910 door lock.  It was easy to install and easy to add to the ISY.  The ISY detected three parameters (deadbolt, alarm, battery) and they all report a status.  I can lock it from the ISY admin interface (and MobiLinc) but it won't unlock.  It does not provide any errors in the interface or the logs, it just does not do anything other than flash from 'ready' to 'system busy' and back to 'ready' in the status bar at the bottom of the admin console.

This is what shows up in my logs after I issue an unlock command:

Things I've tried so far:

1. Remove and re-add it to the ISY (I tried this several times)

2. remove it from the ISY, reboot the ISY, and add it again

3. search this forum and the broader Internet for others with this issue.

I'm running:

1. ISY firmware 4.7.3

2. ISY994i

3. z-wave firmware 4.55

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

It was a bit painful to upgrade.  I don't have another controller and thus had to re-add all of my zwave devices.  There are not a lot of them but I had to dig out the directions for each one and figure out how to get them to forget the ISY and then rejoin them.  Then go back into my programs to reset them because they lost their links to the devices and sensors.  After that though I can report that the firmware update did the trick.  Thanks for the help Michael.
